Dear Friends,

Welcome to The Wellsville Creative Arts Center. Its purpose is to provide the citizens of Allegany County and surrounding areas a place to discover, experience and appreciate the creative arts. Our idea was to build an attractive and centralized venue for individuals, families and friends to explore the creative side of their personality. An encouraging place where those who want to incorporate creativity into their life can meet, learn together, share ideas and most of all, have fun.

Creative arts and education will be the foundation of our endeavor. Our goal is to deliver quality art instruction for diverse age groups and skill levels. It is our hope that by attending the classes and programs offered at The Arts Center, each person may be able to use the skills they have learned for a lifetime of enjoyment and self-growth and will reap the rewards of increased self confidence by discovering new ways of self-expression. And by reviving an important downtown building, we expect to enliven the heart of our town, drawing people in for musical performances, workshops, demonstrations and meetings.

We feel fortunate to be leading this project yet all along it’s been a collaboration with many people in our community, and that has been the most gratifying part of the venture. We want to thank each and everyone who has given their valuable time, offered their ideas and taken part in the vision.

Now we are ready to share our creation with the community. It will evolve as we learn from you and we shape it together. Your support will ensure that this is just the beginning of great things to come. We hope you will visit often and take advantage of what it will offer and above all…be part of its success.
