For 15 years, Wanda Dean has attended critiquing groups in Rochester,
NY, and has developed an acute eye for painting and 2-D media.
“We all worked in different mediums and different styles, and after
listening to the critiques of all the painters, I learned to trust my
eyes and not my brain. It changed the way I look at all art, and helped
me get where I wanted to go in my work.”
In this class, each artist will learn to be a better critic of their
own work and trust their eyes in creating a successful painting. Students
should bring one or several pieces they are working on, and be ready
to paint in class. They must furnish their own supplies. The class is
open to all media. Each student’s work will be critiqued one-on-one,
with occasional group critiques.
This class is for students who are already producing work on a regular
basis.
