What do you get when you combine Harry and Eric Aceto, guitarist and six-string violinist of DjugDjango with Bobby Henrie and Brian Williams, guitarist/vocalist and bassist of the Goners? You get a top-notch gypsy jazz/bop band with a supremely logical name: the DjanGoners. And, in case there's anyone left in the world who does not know, the group explores the wonderful 'dgenre' of music associated with the great gypsy jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt.

Violinist/luthier Eric Aceto, proprietor of Ithaca Stringed Instruments; and his brother Harry, best known as a bass player (but he also plays guitar, banjo and mandolin & toured with Jay Ungar & Molly Mason, Tim O’Brien, Martin Simpson and more) are part of the Djug Django gang, Ithaca’s Django Reinhardt tribute band. On bass, Brian ”Wildman” Williams started with the Swamp Root Stringband, toured with bluesman John Mooney, and has played for years with Bobby Henrie & the Goners. Bobby Henrie, in addition to fronting the Goners, plays in the bluegrass band Cornerstone and was part of the original Henrie Brothers band. All four are united in their love for Django and his music.
